Jerry Robinson

Private memorial services for Jerry Wayne Robinson, 68, of Cleburne, will be held at a later date.

Mr. Robinson passed away in Cleburne on Friday, November 19, 2010. He was born July 21, 1942 in Rotan, Texas to Stanley Jim and Lilie Mae Price Robinson. Jerry married Mary Stearnes on July 17, 1981 in Rotan. He worked as a truck driver and cook for most of his life. Jerry served in the United States Army and was of the Catholic faith. Papa, as everyone knew him, was a giving man, always there for everyone. He was a stubborn and strong man that loved the outdoors, especially fishing and hunting. He was an avid reader of mysteries and westerns. Jerry will be missed greatly by all who knew and loved him. He was preceded in death by his parents; great grandson, James Robin Ray Ellis Miller; and brother, Jimmy Robinson.

Survivors include his wife of 29 years, Mary Robinson; children, Ruth Ann Miller and fiance, Billy Frank Phillips, James Wayne Robinson, and Lisa Robinson; grandchildren, Patricia Ann Miller, Brandy Lynn Williamson, Jessica Ellen Miller, Sue Ellon Miller, Jordan Wayne Robinson, James Wayne Robinson, Jr., Jonathan Morris Robinson, and Emily Robinson; great grandchildren, Breanna Rayelynn Williamson, Jesse James Miller, Miranda Marie Godwin, Alyssa Marie Barton, and Suzannah Kate Williamson; brothers, J.A. Robinson and Jackie Robinson; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
