A memorial service for Jerry W. Scarbrough, 74, of Cleburne will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., Sunday, Jan. 14, 2018 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel.
Jerry W. Scarbrough passed away Tuesday, Jan. 9, 2018 in Ft. Worth. He was born Jan. 3, 1944 in Corsicana to Nealy Edward and Annie Patterson Scarbrough. He married Deborah Lynne Capoun on May 30, 1985 in Cleburne.
Mr. Scarbrough served in the U.S. Army and worked for 10 years with the Arlington Police Department and had 20 years of service as a Deputy Sherriff with the Johnson County Sheriff Office.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 32 years, Deborah Scarbrough of Cleburne; six children, Tommy Scarbrough of Godley, Terri Nelson and husband Aaron of Azle, Susan Scarbrough of Dallas, Bartly W. Scarbrough and wife Renee of Azle, Amanda Scarbrough of Bluff Dale, and Mark Horn of Odessa; 22 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; sister, Nancy Vessells and husband Bill of Aledo; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, two grandchildren, Ashley Scarbrough and George Ramirez II, and a brother, Billy Scarbrough.
