Jesse Moore

Service for Jesse Moore, 74, of Cleburne will be conducted at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, March 23, 2013 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. The Reverend Kevin Bentley will officiate. Burial will be in Rosehill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Adam Mize, King Reagan, Brad Earley, Cliff Matthews, Chris Matthews and Glenn Anderson. Honorary pallbearer will be Mike Green. Visitation will be from 6-8:00 P.M., Friday, at the funeral home.

Jesse Moore passed away Tuesday, March 19, 2013, at his home, with his family by his side. He was born June 8, 1938 in Cleburne to Robert Wayne and Gerthie Lee Brown Moore. He married Betty Ann Matthews on December 17, 1960 and she preceded him in death on Feb. 15, 2011.

Mr. Moore served in the United States Army. He retired after 20 years of service with Bell Helicopter, where he chaired numerous committees, including the Humanity Fund. He also worked at Santa Fe Railroad and General Motors. Mr. Moore was a friendly man who knew no strangers. He enjoyed CHS Football, Texas Longhorns, Dallas Cowboys, and Rangers Baseball. He was very devoted and faithful to his family. Mr. Moore enjoyed drinking coffee with friends at Whataburger and was a member of Lone Willow Baptist Church.

Survivors include his son, Kelly Moore and wife Jody; grandchildren, Cassie Moore and John David Moore and wife Abby; great grandchildren, Brandon Moore and Alicia Diaz; sister, Patricia Anderson and husband Glendon; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. He was also preceded in death by his parents.
