Service for Jessica Hope Koonsman, 19, of Blum will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, December 4, 2013 in Open Range Cowboy Church in Whitney. Dr. Gerald Dudley and Lay Pastor Brad Daniels will officiate. Burial will be in Blanton Cemetery. Pallbearers will be James Raulston, Matt Raulston, Josh Raulston, Ben Raulston, Andrew Raulston, Kennedy McFarland, Riley Leifeste, Jacob Jean, Cole Little, Braxton Daniels, Scott Bradley, Greg Clark, Logan Vann and Chase Hancock. Honorary pallbearers will be Ernest Clark, Dean Jean, Chad Leifeste, Todd McFarland, Mark Hancock, Calvin Rogers, Michael Koonsman, Scott Jay, Dustin Dorris and Chris Harwell. Visitation will be from 6-8:00 P.M., Tuesday at Open Range Cowboy Church.

Jessica Hope Koonsman passed away Saturday, Nov. 30, 2013 in Ft. Worth. She was born Feb. 18, 1994 in Cleburne to James B. and Robyn D. Kennedy Koonsman.

Jessica was a student at Hill College and had planned to transfer to Texas Tech in the fall and study agriculture. She enjoyed showing steers, heifers and hogs and was a member of the Blum FFA. Jessica always had a smile for everyone and loved everyone. She was a member of Open Range Cowboy Church.

Survivors include her parents, James and Robyn Koonsman of Blum; sister, Jordyn Koonsman of Blum; maternal grandparents, John and Carolyn Kennedy of Blum; paternal grandmother, Gale Koonsman of Whitney; maternal great grandmother, Dorothy Kennedy of Blum; aunts, Kathy Leifeste and husband Chad of Center Point, Deb McFarland and husband Todd of Blum and LaDonna Jean and husband Dean of Blum; uncle, Michael Koonsman of Whitney; and numerous great aunts, great uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Rudy Koonsman; maternal great grandparents, Tom and Estie Allen; maternal great grandfather, E.C. Kennedy; and an aunt, Traci Anderson.

These funds will be used to purchase countywide animals at the Hill County Youth Fair every year in January.
