Jessie Harper

Service for Jessie Harper, 93, of Cleburne, will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., Friday, June 3, 2011 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. The Reverend Charles E. Payne and Dr. Terry Williams will officiate. Pallbearers will be Larry Tate, Joseph Tate, Tray Cagle, David Self, Brandt Self and Mike Harper. Honorary pallbearers will be Chance Lee, Zach Spohn, Justin Conner and Charles Cagle. Burial will be at 4:00 P.M. Friday in the Nancy Smith Cemetery in Somervell County. The family will receive visitors from 1:00-2:00 P.M., prior to the service.

Mrs. Harper passed away Wednesday, June 1, 2011 in Ft. Worth. She was born July 17, 1917 in Somervell County to Joe B. and Linnie McCarty McCoy. She married Henry Lloyd Harper Sr. on October 11, 1936 in Glen Rose.

Mrs. Harper was a retired laundry worker with 10 years service at Johnson County Memorial Hospital and a member of Calvary Baptist Church.

Survivors include her son, Lloyd Harper Jr. and his wife, Betty of Grandview; grandson, Mike Harper and wife Karla; granddaughters, Debbie Cagle and LeAnne Self and husband David; great grandchildren, Tray Cagle, Tiffany Conner, Brandt Self, Brittny Lee, Rendan Spohn, Regan McCauley and RiLeigh Harper; five great-great grandchildren; sister, Louise Massey of Stephenville and a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, H.L. (Pete) Harper on August 13, 2007.
