Mrs. Skinner went to be with the Lord on Friday, May 21, 2010 in Benbrook. Jessie was born to Tom C. and Maggie Easdon Whipp on March 11, 1917 in Johnson County. Following Mr. Whipp's death in 1918, Jessie was lovingly raised by her mother and her second husband, Maggie and Lonnie Guston Whitehead. Jessie was a loving wife to her late husband, Wilma Thomas Skinner. They were married on February 4, 1941 in Glen Rose. Jessie retired after 38 years of faithful service with Walls Industries. She was a woman of faith, trusting Jesus as her savior and member of College Heights Baptist Church. "Gran", as her grandchildren called her, enjoyed sewing, word puzzles and cracking pecans with her great grandchildren. She was kind hearted and giving to those that she loved. Her determined and sweet spirit will be greatly missed by all those that knew and loved her. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband in 1952 and son, William Thomas Skinner on March 12, 1987.

Survivors include her daughter in law, Caren Robertson and husband, Joe; granddaughters, Jennifer Disney and husband, Jason and Melani Skinner; great grandchildren, JaneAnn, Jackson, Miller and Sarah; sisters, Tommie Coffee, Pauline Armstrong and Earline Cudd; brothers, Robert, Earl and Lonnie Whitehead; several nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
