Jewel Scott

Service for Jewel Mae Scott, 87, of Cleburne will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 31, 2012, in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. The Rev. Charles E. Payne will officiate. Burial will be in Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Friday.

Mrs. Scott passed away following a lengthy illness on March 28, 2012, at her grandson's home surrounded by loved ones. She was born on Dec. 25, 1924, in Cleburne to Harvey and Mammie Johnson.

Jewel was a life-long homemaker and loved being a mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. She was retired from Walls Industries and a member of Calvary Baptist Church.

Survivors include her grandson and caregiver, Ronny Scott; grandson, Tim Scott; four granddaughters, Gene Ooten, Virginia Collins, Lisa Jones and Patricia Scott; 18 great-grandchildren; and 13 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter and one son.
