A memorial service for Jill Currie, 64, of Grandview, will be conducted at 3:00 P.M., Friday, May 13, 2016 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel.
Jill Currie passed away Wednesday, May 4, 2016 in Ft. Worth. She was born April 19, 1952 in Tacoma, WA to Charles and Julia Whitcomb Schrader. She married Robert Currie on May 18, 1974 in Ft. Worth.
Mrs. Currie graduated from TCU in 1974 with a Bachelor of Science degree and worked for the Department of Human and Health Services for 16 years. She also graduated from Cedar Creek University in Cedar Hill with a Vet Tech degree. She loved photography and arts and crafts, but one of her greatest loves was rescuing the throw-away dogs. Jill was a member of Church of the Holy Comforter.
Survivors include her beloved husband, Robert Currie of Grandview; sister, Lissa Latigo of Midlothian; niece, Lauri Dismang; nephew, Brian Goodman; two great nieces, Kaleigh and Abbie Goodman; two great nephews, Jordan and Jackson Dismang; two aunts, Janet Pummill and June Pinnell and their families; and two cousins, Ronnie Schrader and Sandy Sands. She was preceded in death by her parents.
