Jim Cox

Services for Jim (James) Edgar Cox, 88, of Kemp, Texas, will be held at 10:00 A.M., Friday, August 9, 2024, in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel with Pastor Jim Cox officiating. Burial will follow in Rosehill Cemetery with Tim Cox officiating the graveside service. Visitation will be 6-8:00 P.M., Thursday, August 8, 2024, at the funeral home. Serving as pallbearers are nephews, Keith Cox of Cleburne, Danny Cox of Burleson, Brad Cox of Cleburne, Mark Cox of Burleson, Tim Cox, and Jim Cox.

Jim went home to Jesus his Lord and Savior on Friday, August 2, 2024, at 12:41 P.M. He was surrounded by his wife and children. He made a peaceful transition to his Lord. 

Jim was born October 1, 1935, in Richland, Texas to T.E. Cox, Sr., and Mandy Flecher. They moved to Cleburne when he was young. He went to high school in Cleburne. Jim devoted his life to the construction trade and family. Jim had 5 children, James Cox, Cynthia Emerson, Sandra Spillers, Timothy Cox, and Teresa Hatch of Florida.

 Jim met the love of his life at the library. Her name was Connie Saunders. They were married in Cleburne, Texas on October 6, 2018. They resided in Kemp, Texas. 

Jim was a great devoted husband, father, and friend. He had a magnetic personality. Loved to laugh and have fun. Jim always had a positive attitude and looked for the good in everything. He was an encourager. He loved his Lord fiercely and his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings.
