Jim Hagood, 60, of Cleburne, a beloved son, husband, father, grandfather and friend, went to be with his Lord and Savior on January 28, 2005 in Cleburne. He was born on September 25, 1944 in Richmond, Virginia, the son of Henry Hagood and Julia Saccar.Jim never met a stranger and was blessed with a multitude of friends from all corners of the Earth. He grew up in Beirut, Lebanon and saw the world as the son of Baptist Missionaries. He graduated from Howard Payne University in 1966. He was fluent inArabic and was comfortable with people of any background or station in life. He was a lifelong Baptist, a Deacon and Sunday School Teacher at First Baptist Church of Cleburne. He loved and lived life to the fullest and was passionate about sharing thelove of Christ with everyone. He enjoyed all of the people he got to know as manager and owner of Gibson's, as Director of Marketing and Public Relations for Walls Regional Hospital and in recent years, mentoring elementary students. While we aresaddened by our temporary loss, we are rejoicing that he left such a strong Christian legacy and is now in his eternal home. He is preceded in death by his father, Henry Hagood; stepfather, Dr. Finlay Graham and aunt, Virginia Hagood. He is survived byhis devoted wife of 40 years, Nancy Hagood of Cleburne; daughter, and son-in-law, Julie and Frank Sheeder of Dallas; son and daughter-in-law, Graham and Suzanne Hagood of Carrollton; daughter and son-in-law, Ginger and Michael Jonason of Duncanville;five perfect grandchildren, Sam, Annie Sheeder, Jake and Gray Hagood and Kara Jonason. He is also survived by his mother, Julia Graham of Dallas; mother-in-law, Nell Martin of Cleburne; sisters, Catherine Kelly of Nashville, TN., Rose Mary Cavazos ofDallas, Christine Brashears of Clarksville, AR., Dr. Sheila Smith of Waco and their husbands and families.
