Services for Jim Miller, 76, of Grandview, will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Monday, January 17, 2011 in the First Baptist Church of Grandview with Reverend Russell Allen officiating. Bart Basham, Chris Tackett, John David Smith, Mark Bosher, Shawn Smith, and Tony Clements will serve as pallbearers. Charles Wright will serve as honorary pallbearer. Burial will follow in the Grandview Cemetery.
Mr. Miller passed away Friday, January 14, 2011 in Glen Rose. He was born to Ted and Ruby Hall Miller on March 25, 1934 in Fort Worth. Mr. Miller served in the United States Army and worked in both commercial and residential construction. He married Anna Lumpkins on February 21, 1959 in Durant, Oklahoma. Jim loved spending time with his family and friends, but especially with his grandchildren. He enjoyed farming and tending to his cattle, as well as drag racing. His love of life and outgoing spirit will be missed greatly by all who knew and loved him. Jim is preceded in death by his parents; son, David Miller; and son in law, Mike Rollins.
Survivors include his wife, Anna Miller of Grandview; daughter, Donna Rollins; sons and daughters in law, Jimmy and Tanya Miller, and Keith and Tricia Miller, all of Grandview; 11 grandchildren; sisters, Jean Ketchum and Bonnie Cloud; brothers and sisters in law, Shorty and Lennie Miller, Doc Miller, and Donald and Patsy Miller; several nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
