Jim Nipp, 78, of Cleburne, passed away Saturday, January 6, 2024 in Cleburne. He was born January 15, 1945, in Abilene to Charles “Charlie” and Bertie Jewell (King) Nipp. Jim was of the Pentecostal faith. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. Jim worked as a produce manager for Walmart for 20 years, retiring in 2009. He was an outdoorsman, who enjoyed fishing, hunting and photography. Jim was able to make others see the world in a new way. He was an avid animal lover of all kinds, including snakes. Jim also enjoyed bowling in countless leagues throughout the years. He will be greatly missed by all that knew him.
He is survived by his children, Virginia Kent, Jimmey Nipp, Kathy Jones, Cheryl Gay, Linda Harry, Karen Terrio, and Beverly Knott; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother, Larry Nipp and wife, Margaret; numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends, including his former wife, longtime caregiver and companion, Mabel Lewis; and his best friend and dog, Bear.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents; and beloved dog, Buddy.
