Jimmie Mae Windham, 95, of Fort Worth, passed away Sunday, June 26, 2011 in Fort Worth.
Graveside services will be conducted at 10:00 A.M. in the Greenacres Memorial Park, Cleburne.
Jimmie was born to James Pinkney and Martha Ella Hill Windham on February 4, 1916 in Rio Vista, Texas. Jimmie retired in the early 1980s from Southland Royalty Company, Fort Worth. She was an active member of the Desk and Derrick as well as the Red Hatters. She was of the Baptist faith. Jimmie was an avid sports fan, especially of football, senior golf and horseracing. She was a friend of the "Horseshoe" and loved dancing. Jimmie was a strong bowler, having bowled in various charity events. She was an inspiration to her family and friends. Her love of life and laughter made her a joy to be around. Jimmie's outgoing nature and fun loving spirit will be missed greatly by all who knew and loved her. She was preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Gertie Oliger.
Survivors include her cousins, Margaret Ann Pesek, Robert Via, Paul Pesek, and Carol Ann Pesek; as well as a host of good friends.
