Mr. Kepple passed away Tuesday, March 27, 2007 in Johnson County. He was born Nov. 29, 1930 in Azle, to Frank and Mary Aliene Griggs Kepple. He married Wanda R. Stevenson on July 8, 1953 in Ft. Worth. He was a graduate of the Mansfield High School. He served his country for 20 years in the U.S. Army retiring as a E-7. He also worked for 17 years as a parts manager for John Deere Co. in Cleburne. Mr. Kepple loved horses and was a member of the Alvarado Range Riders horse club. He owned a champion barrel horse in the Galiceno Association in 1980 named Roan Jigger. The horse shows were always family events.
Mr. Jimmy B. Kepple is survived by his wife, Wanda Kepple of Rio Vista; three sons, Jimmy Ray Kepple and wife Caressa of Rio Vista, Zachary T. Kepple of San Antonio and Wayne Kepple and Rachel of Rio Vista; daughter, Mary Louise Kepple Leachman and husband Mike of Whitney; brothers, Donald Sparks of Ft. Worth, Kenneth E. Kepple and wife Luann of Joshua and Ray E. Kepple of Dallas; sister, Ann Miller of Joshua; 11 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.
