Jimmy Sanders

Jimmy Ray Sanders was born on May 14, 1928 to Lillian Balch and Hugh F.Sanders. He passed away on Wednesday, July 16, 2008 in Cleburne after a lenghtly illness.

Jimmy Ray Sanders married Dorothy Louise Muehlburger May 3, 1948 in Glen Rose. They were married for thirty-five years. They met in Galveston where he was in the Merchant Marines during WW II. He retired after forty-five years of sailing and started farming in the Parker and Covington area. He was a devoted dad, grandfather and friend and much loved by all.

He is survived by one daughter, Lennie Sellers, of Cleburne; grandchildren, Cody Harwell, of Waxahachie, Carrie Harwell and Chris Howard both of Keene; niece, Linda Wright of Cleburne;sister-in-law, Joyce Lidiak and husband, Max, of Houston; brother-in-law, Milton Muehlburger, of Corpus Christi;brothers-in-law Elmer Muehlburger and wife, Patsy, Floyd Muehlburger and wife, Linda, Wayne Muehlburger and wife, Terry all of Galveston and brother-in-law Howard Muehlburger and wife, Lidia Muehlburger, of Edinburg, Texas and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by son, Jimmie Ray Sanders, Jr., sister, Doris E. Horton and grandmother, Edna Belle North Batch all of Cleburne.
