Jimmy Charles Scoggins, 86, of Burnet, passed away Tuesday, May 26, 2020, in Cleburne, Texas.
He was born December 2, 1933 in Pleasant Michigan to Eustice George and Thelma Roberta (Tolleson) Scoggins.
After serving in the Air Force, he went back to school and received an associate degree in science from Arlington State College.
He then pursued and received a BS degree in Civil Engineering from SMU University, graduating with University Scholastic honors.
He started his own construction business that is still in operation today.
Jim had several hobbies to include hunting, fishing, softball and one of his favorite hobbies, golfing.
He loved wildlife and old western movies. His favorite character in a movie was Gus from the movie Lonesome Dove.
He even looked a lot like Gus.

Survivors include:
Sisters- Mary Jo McClure, Roberta Jane Mahon and Della Benson
Daughter-Joyce Katherine Scoggins
Son-George Scoggins and his wife Nancy
Daughter-Lynda Traister and her husband David
Nine Grandchildren- Jason Scoggins, Matt Scoggins, Nathan Scoggins, Adeline Scoggins, Jamie Elkins, Brian Scoggins, Jake Scoggins,
Kimberly Ingram and Heather Traister.
Ten Great Grandchildren- Jude, Mae, Hagen, Jayde, Bryson, Grayson, Liam, Ellie number 1, Emmy and Ellie number 2
And other nieces and nephews.


Preceding him in death were:
Parents- Eustice and Thelma
Son-Charles Robert Scoggins;
Sisters- Ruth Davis and Betty Earney
