Graveside service for Jimmy Dale Whitehead, 75, of Alvarado will be conducted at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, September 1, 2018 in Baker-Lain Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Roy Malone, Nathan Malone, Billy Robles, Christian Vereen, Lee Pettigrew and Patience Collins. Visitation will be from 6-8:00 P.M. Friday, at the funeral home.
Jimmy Dale Whitehead passed away Friday, August 24, 2018 in Alvarado. He was born January 31, 1943 in Ft. Worth to Travis and Delora Cook Whitehead. He married Joyce Brand on February 23, 1963 in Venus and she preceded him in death on March 26, 2006, after 43 years of marriage.
Mr. Whitehead was a construction foreman. He was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include his sons, Doug Whitehead of Cleburne and Brad Whitehead of Alvarado; son-in-law, James Emery of Cleburne; seven grandchildren, Brandon, Dillion and Lexie Whitehead, Johnathan Vaco, Cheryl Pettigrew, Tanya Emery, and Jamey Robles; nine great grandchildren, Christian Vereen, Hannah Vereen, Lyric Robles, Patience Collins, Madison Collins, Wade Collins, Nathan Malone, Allison Malone and Johnathan Vaco Jr.; sisters, D.A. Stout of Houston and Carolyn Park and husband George of Lillian; brothers, Paul Whitehead and wife Gloria of Alvarado and Lawrence Whitehead and wife Mary of Houston; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was also preceded in death by two daughters, LeAnn Emery and Teresa Whitehead.
