Friends and family are also invited to join in celebrating his life during the funeral service on Saturday, April 19, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel..

Joaquin Avila passed away on April 15, 2025, in Cleburne, Texas, at the age of 47. Born on December 21, 1977, in Fort Worth, Texas, he brought joy and laughter to all who knew him.

Joaquin is survived by his loving wife, Angela Avila, with whom he shared 18 wonderful years of marriage. He is also survived by his sister, Mary McClure, and her husband, Keith, his mother and father-in-law, Pat and Dennis Cox; brother-in-law, Kevin Cox, and wife Catherine; niece, Susanne McClure, and nephews, Clinton McClure, Richard Cox, and Braiden Cox. Joaquin’s loved ones also include many aunts, uncles, cousins, and his beloved dogs, Sapphire and Chester.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Manuel and Petra Avila.

Joaquin was known for his vibrant spirit and deep passion for life. A huge fan of the Raiders football team and the Texas Rangers baseball team, he spent many hours enjoying the thrill of the game. His love for cooking was evident, particularly in his skillful hands when it came to smoking brisket and bar-b-que. He took immense pleasure in gathering family and friends around the grill, where his infectious laughter and heartwarming stories filled the air.

In addition to his culinary talents, Joaquin had an adventurous spirit that drew him to camping, fishing, and traveling. He approached life with a childlike enthusiasm, a testament to his love for Disney and Disneyland, where he found joy and wonder. Known as a people person and a jokester, Joaquin made an indelible mark on the hearts of those around him. His ability to connect, uplift, and bring forth a smile was unparalleled.

Joaquin Avila's legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories will live on through his family and friends, reminding all of the joy he brought into the world. He will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all whose lives he touched.
