Joe Kerby

Service for Joe Kerby, 78, of Cleburne, will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., Sunday, May 27, 2012 in the Friendship Baptist Church. The Reverend Brian McClure will officiate. Pallbearers will be Jason Kerby, Chris Elliott, Matt Polley, Chase Pence, Henry Henning, Daniel Bason and Gary Cole. Interment will be at 2:00 P.M., Monday, in the Glen Cove Cemetery near Coleman, Texas. Visitation will be from 5-7 P.M., Saturday, at the funeral home.

Mr. Kerby passed away Wednesday, May 23, 2012 in Cleburne. He was born Nov. 24, 1933 in Runnels County, Texas to Marion Henry and Thora Lou Brevard Kerby. He married Inez Daniel on August 30, 1958 in Hill County.

Mr. Kerby was retired from the Department of Energy with 35 years service as a mechanical engineer. He was a member of Friendship Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Inez Kerby; children, Michael Marion Kerby and friend Suzie, Vicki Lynn Kerby Tostanoski and husband Mike and Larry Dale Kerby and friend Betty Suarez; grandchildren, Sandi Allene Kerby and friend Matt Polley, Jason Kerby and wife Courtney, Teddi Marie Tostanoski and Andi Alise Tostanoski; brother, Roland K. Kerby and a number of nieces, nephews and extended family. He was preceded in death by his parents.
