Joe Marchbanks

Graveside services for Joe E. Marchbanks, 90, of Cleburne, will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Friday, August 13, 2010 in the Cleburne Memorial Cemetery. Pastor Danny J. Niedecken will officiate. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 6:00-8:00 P.M. on Thursday.

Mr. Marchbanks passed away in Cleburne on Wednesday, August 9, 2010. He was born to English and Carrie Ramsey Marchbanks on December 26, 1919 in Cleburne. Joe was of the Methodist faith. He worked as a real estate agent for years. He served in the United States Navy during World War II. He was a survivor of the Pearl Harbor attack. He will be missed greatly by those that knew and loved him.

Survivors include his daughter, Johnnie M. Braddock of North Richland Hills; sisters, Becky Kelly of Houston and Carolyn Slagle and husband, Travis of Dallas; step sister, Barbara Davis Bay; niece, Zena Fitzgerald of Carrolton; nephews, Steve English of Dallas, Victor Slagle of El Paso and Miles Magee of Houston; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
