Service for Joe Milsap, 87, of Cleburne will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., Friday, Jan. 5, 2017 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. The Reverend John Glover will officiate. Burial will follow in Derden Cemetery in Hill County. Visitation will be from 6-8:00 P.M., Thursday, at the funeral home.

Joe Milsap passed away January 2, 2017 in Cleburne. He was born March 6, 1930 in Covington to Able Tilman and Maggie Taylor Milsap. He married Julia Ethel Young on March 23, 1963 in Cleburne.

Mr. Milsap served in the United States Army. He was a maintenance mechanic for Fruhoff Trailers, retiring with 37 years of service. He was a 50 year member of the Cleburne Masonic Lodge No. 315 and a member of Field Street Baptist Church.

Survivors include his beloved wife of 54 years, Julia Milsap of Cleburne; four children, Jacky Milsap of Cleburne, Kerry Skiles and wife Connie of Nemo; Debbie Skiles of Ft. Worth and Daryl Skiles of Capitan, NM; nine grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers and two sisters.
