Service for Joe Ben Qualls, 83, of Cleburne, will be conducted at 1:30 P.M. Thursday, February 10, 2011 in the Alvarado Church of Christ. Committal will be at 3:00 P.M. Friday in the Benjamin Cemetery in Benjamin. Mr. Warren Odiorne will officiate assisted by Mr. Jim Antwine. Visitation will be from 6-8 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Mr. Qualls passed away Sunday, February 6, 2011 in Ft. Worth. He was born December 13, 1927 in Benjamin to Hugh Benton and Josephine Brown Qualls. He married Carolyn Hampton on July 5, 1988 in Round Rock.

Mr. Qualls was a contrator in construction and a minister. He graduated from Sunset School of Preaching in Lubbock in 1967. He was a minister of the gospel, preaching in numerous churches, including Victoria British Columbia, Jayton, Abilene, and several other area towns. He was a member of Alvarado Church of Christ.

Mr. Qualls is survived by his wife Carolyn Qualls of Cleburne; daughters, Cheryl Harper and husband Leonard of Amarillo, Mayre Stewart and husband Keith of Cleburne and Cara Lynne Womble of Ft. Worth; Sons, Terry Qualls of Austin, Rob Marr and wife Rachel of McAllen and Tommy Marr and wife Kat of Sachse; 16 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; brother, Jack Qualls and wife Jennie of Abilene and a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Laurie Kay Qualls; two sisters, Adelle Smith and Glenda Bryan, one brother, Cantrell Qualls.
