Joe Robinson

Graveside service for Joe Robinson, 93, of Cleburne will be conducted at 10:00 A.M., Thursday, August 3, 2023 in Rosehill Cemetery with Reverend Jerry Melson officiating. There will be a time of visitation from 5:00-7:00 P.M., Wednesday, August 2, 2023, at the funeral home.

Joe passed away Sunday, July 30, 2023 in Cleburne. He was born April 27, 1930, in Godley to Earnest E. and Gertrude Odessa (Dilleshaw) Robinson. Joe married Jacqueline Louise “Jackie” Brown on August 4, 1950 in Cleburne. He was a member of Field Street Baptist Church. Joe worked for Santa Fe Railroad, retiring at the age of 62 with over 40 years of service. He raised and raced homing pigeons for over 80 years. Joe had a sweet spirit about him, worrying about everyone. He was hard working, a family man and a good husband. Joe enjoyed watching college football and was an avid Aggies fan. He will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his wife of 72 years, Jackie Robinson; son and daughter-in-law, Ronald Joe Robinson and Karen; grandchildren, Brooks Robinson, Kyle Robinson and wife, Kelly, Tyler Robinson and wife, Gabby, and Laura Murphy and husband, Ryan; great-grandchildren, Kendall Cochran, Cason Murphy, Kinley Murphy, Bennett Robinson, Greer Robinson, Sutton Robinson, and Lucy Robinson; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

Joe is preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Debbie Evans; grandson, Chris Cochran; and brother, Otis Robinson.
