Funeral services for Joel Jackson, Sr., 70, of Cleburne, will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, August 5, 2021 in the Crosier Pearson Cleburne Funeral Home Chapel. A visitation will be held at the funeral home from 6:00-8:00 PM on Wednesday, August 3, 2021.

Mr. Jackson passed away in Cleburne on Saturday, July 31, 2021. He was born to Henry Ernest and Evelyn Gladys Jenkins Jackson on July 27, 1951 in Freeport, Texas. He married Patricia Darby on July 12, 1986 in Cleburne. Joel worked as a truck-driver for many years. His last 15 years driving were with FedEx and he enjoyed them all. He was a member of the Word of Life Church. Joel was a man who believed in laughter and could make everyone laugh with him. He will be missed greatly and remembered with a smile.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; and several siblings.

Survivors include his children, Barbara Jackson, Joel Jackson, Jr., and Caitlyn Malcomson; grandchildren, Christine Shaw, Candace Shaw, Jacob Jackson, Thane Douglas, and Grayson Douglas; 6 great grandchildren; several siblings; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
