Private graveside services for John T. Dandridge, Jr., 82, of Cleburne will be conducted Saturday, May23, 2020 at Oakwood Cemetery, Jacksboro, Texas. Private visitation will be held Friday, May 22, 2020 at the Crosier- Pearson Cleburne Funeral Home located in Cleburne, Texas.
John Dandridge, also lovingly referred to as June or Junior, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 18th, 2020 with family close by his side. John was born January 24, 1938 in Geary, Oklahoma to John Thomas Dandridge, Sr. and Bernice Irene (Black) Dandridge. He married Earlene Nan Pankey on September 12, 1958 in Fort Worth. He was stationed at Carswell Air Force Base for 4 years. After serving in the Air Force, John was a banker in Data Processing for 38 years until he retired. John and Earlene owned Healthy Saving for many years in Cleburne. He was of the Church of Christ faith.
He was a quiet, dependable, modest and hardworking man, as well as a wonderful and loving Husband, Father, Grandfather, Brother, Uncle and Cousin. His family always came first and he loved them all with his whole heart.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Earlene Dandridge; daughters, Nancy Martin and husband Charles, Patricia Swaim and husband Victor, Mary McDonald and husband Mark, Macy Ozuna and husband Nathan; son, John T. Dandridge III and wife Julie; 28 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; brothers, William “Bud” Dandridge, James Dandridge and wife Glenda, Melvin Dandridge and wife Marilyn, Fred Dandridge and wife Angie; sister, Rhonda Ford and husband Burl; brother-in-law, Fred Pankey; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; 1 great-granddaughter; brother, Tommy Dandridge; and sister, Sandra Scott.
He will be greatly missed!
