John Davis

Services for Dr. John F. (Jack) Davis, 86, of Keene, will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, March 29, 2008 in the Keene Seventh-day Adventist Church. Pastor Bill Hunt will officiate. Burial will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, March 30, 2008 in Shepherd Hill Cemetery, Willis, TX. Pastor Bob Stauffer will officiate.
Dr. John F. (Jack) Davis passed away Wednesday, March 26, 2008 in Keene, TX. He was born December 26, 1921 in Conroe, TX to Judge Nathaniel Hart and Mabel Spiller Davis. He married Cleofe Dizon on July 26, 1971 in Los Angeles, CA.
Dr. Davis was a chiropractor for over 50 years. He practiced in Cleveland, Tomball, Conroe and Keene. He was of the Seventh-day Adventist faith and witnessed through personally distributing thousands of Christian literature pamphlets. He was a former member of the Rotary Club, Lions Club and the Masonic Lodge in Houston, TX. He also served in the Army Airforce during WWII and was a Merchant Marine during the Vietnam War.
Dr. Jack Davis is survived by his wife, Cleofe Davis of Keene; two daughters, Diane Abitua and husband, Angel of Round Rock, TX and Emelia Davis of Keene; two sons, John F. Davis, Jr. and wife, Debbie of Katy, TX and James W. Davis and wife, Christina of Dalhart, TX; brother, Nat Davis and wife, Leah of Conroe, TX; sister, Katsy Clark and husband, Darrel of Ridgway, CO and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.
The family is deeply grateful for the exceptional care provided by the Cleburne Community Hospice of Texas and would like to personally thank Jack Ross and Gladys Foston for their tender care of Dr. John.
