John Davis

Godley, Memorial services for John Clay Davis, 55, of Godley will be held at 3:00 PM, Saturday, January 22, 2005 at the First Baptist Church of Godley. Visitation will be held following Memorial Services.

John Clay Davis passed away on Wednesday, January 19, 2005, at his residence in Godley. He was born November 25, 1949, in San Angelo, Texas, the son of John Stephen and Barbara Davis. John spent his life ranching in the Godley area and in later years was self employed in light construction. He married Wayne Ann Sawyer, June 19, 1970. He was preceded in death by his father, John S. Davis, Jr., brother, Jimmy Davis and sister, Jo Ann Raney.

Mr. Davis is survived by his wife, Wayne Ann Davis, of Godley; sons, John Everett Davis and Stephen Wayne Davis; daughter, Allison Erin Davis, all of Godley; mother, Barbara Davis, of Godley; sister, Stevie Kay Overby and husband, Richard, of Wilmer; brothers, Larry Stephen Davis and wife, Pam, of Euless and Joe Paul Davis and wife, Tammy, of Godley and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
