John Futrell

Services for John Futrell, 72, of Cleburne, will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 6, 2010 in the Eastern Heights Church, Cleburne. The Reverend Paul Pinyan will officiate. Burial will be in the Rio Vista Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Delos Dunlap, James Hawkins, Tony Linton, David Sullivan, John-Paul Futrell and Dustin Harris. Honorary pallbearers will be Jacob Strickland, Austin Strickland, Jordan Cheek, Brody Vance, Draven Martin, Bo Futrell and Bobby Futrell.
Visitation will be Tuesday, from 6-9 at the funeral home.

John Futrell passed away Sunday, October 3, 2010 in Fort Worth. He was born February 3, 1938 in Heath, TX to James Lowe and Elizabeth Estelle (Fowler) Futrell. He married Carolyn Ann Kingston on April 23, 1982 in Cleburne.
Mr. Futrell was a retail business owner. He served in the US Army and was a member of the Hebron Cowboy Fellowship Church in Rio Vista.

John Futrell is survived by his wife, Carolyn of Rio Vista; children, DeAnn Linton of Rio Vista, Johnny (Jay) Raymond Futrell, Jr. and wife, Mary of Rio Vista, Jeff Futrell of Dallas, Jan Futrell of Rio Vista, Angie Sheppard and husband, Jeff of Joshua, Michael Coburn and wife, Sherry of Rio Vista, Cheryl Harris and husband, Melvin of Rio Vista and Ray Cheek and wife, Lindsay of Cleburne; grandchildren, Heather, Tony, Bo, Bobby, Jimmy, David, Jennifer, Dustin, John-Paul, Taylor, Catie, Jacob, Austin, Jordan, Mackenzie and Draven; eleven great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his oldest son, James Ray "Bubba" Futrell.
