Graveside service for John Alton Hague, 93, of Arlington, Texas will be conducted at 11:00 A.M., Thursday, April 14, 2022, in Rosehill Cemetery. Reverend Andy Tyler will officiate. Visitation will be 5-7:00 P.M., Wednesday, April 13, 2022, at the funeral home.
John passed away Sunday, April 10, 2022, in Fort Worth. He was born September 23, 1928, in Cleburne to Glyndon Madison and Juanita Virginia (Cooke) Hague. He was delivered by his beloved grandfather, Dr. C.C. Cooke of Cleburne, Texas. John was of the Methodist faith. He married Valeria Varga on January 28, 1967, in Cleburne. John served in the United States Marine Corp. and worked in law enforcement for Cleburne Police Department as an Officer for one year. He then joined Texas Department of Public Safety retiring in 1978 after 28 years of service. John had a love for all animals. After retirement he became a rancher around Glen Rose, Texas.
John is survived by his wife, Valeria Hague of Arlington; daughter, Janet Hooten and spouse, J.T. of Bandera, Texas; granddaughter, Tisha Pettibon and spouse, Chester, Amber Butters and spouse, Lane; sister, Mary Morrow Jones of Cleburne; 3 great-grandchildren; several nieces, and nephews, Glendon Bridges Hague and spouse, Sophia, Sylvia Lynn Potter and spouse, Joe, and Cathy Campbell and spouse, Jimmy; along with a host of other relatives and friends.
He is preceded by his parents, and brother, Glyndon “Happy” Hague.
