John McKelvey

Graveside services for John Philip McKelvey will be conducted 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 14, 2009 in the Washington Park East Cemetery in Indianapolis, Indiana. Visitation will be from 9-10 a.m. at the Shirley Brothers Funeral Home, Indiana. Visitation and prayer services will be held Monday evening in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel.

Mr. McKelvey passed away Sunday, October 11, 2009 in Ft. Worth. He was born July 13, 1922 in Greenfield, Indiana to Chester Roy and Krystal (Shumay) McKelvey. He married Mary Virginia Lay on January 25, 1947 in Indianapolis, Indiana.

John McKelvey was a pharmaceutical production manager. He served in the US Coast Guard He was a 50 year Master Mason, Greenfield Lodge, Greenfield, Indiana and was of the Methodist faith.

John McKelvey is survived by his daughter, Cindy Ledlow and husband Robert of Cleburne; grandchildren, Kim Hargrove and husband Justin, Michael McQueen and wife Krystal, Matthew McQueen, Leslie Gardner and husband Randy and Landon Ledlow and wife Becky; great-grandchildren, Ason Hargrove, Kailey Hargrove and Kaitlynd McQueen. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary on February 4, 2008.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
