John Calvin Webb, 64, stepped into eternity on Wednesday, July 20, 2005.
Funeral services are 2 pm, Saturday, July 23, 2005 at Crosier-Pearson-Cleburne Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Rose Hill Cemetery. There will be a visitation 6 to 8 pm, Friday, at the funeral home.
John was born July 26, 1940 in Eulogy, Texas. After attending Cleburne schools, John joined the U.S. Army, where he proudly spent 20 years; his tours of duty included Germany, Alaska, Vietnam, Korea and several U.S. states. John retired as a Sergeant First Class in January 1978. He then came home to Cleburne and spent the next 20 years working for Wynn's Climate Systems where he retired as a Project Engineer.
He married Theresa Kiesl on November 28, 1960.
John was proud of serving his country. His hobbies included camping, fishing, traveling and spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Theresa; son, Thomas Webb and partner, Reda Markgraf of Wylie; daughters Carmen Winslow and partner, Don Mowrer, and Ariane Sutton and husband, Carl of Cleburne; granddaughter Lindsay Webb; siblings, Kathleen Berry, Virgie Burnett, Guelda Underwood, Nona Polson, Lily Baker, Sharlene Crisp, Robert Webb, Raymond Webb and Randolph Webb; soul brother Donald Greer and wife, Margaret and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Verlie and Thomas Webb, and brothers, Clyde Leon and Thomas Donald Webb.
The family wishes to express special thanks to the staff of American Hospice, especially Donna White.
