Johnnie Boyd

A visitation for Johnnie Granville Boyd, 95, of Crowley, will be held from 1:00-3:00 P.M., Saturday, March 26, 2022, at Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Funeral Home.

Johnnie passed away Wednesday, March 23, 2022, in Cleburne. He was born October 29, 1926, in Hill County, Texas to John Marion and Josie Mae (Applegate) Boyd. Johnnie married Rosie Laverne Bridges on August 12, 1996, in Covington. He served in the United States Army and worked in the Dairy Industry.

Johnnie is survived by his wife, Laverne Boyd of Crowley; children, Janet Cooper of Cleburne, Dennis Boyd of Itasca, Ruth Morgan of Itasca, John Boyd of Peoria, Patty Henninger of Alvarado, Anita Fowler of Burleson, and Becky Vaughn of Cleburne; brother, Sam Boyd of Cleburne; sister, Pat Gant of Cleburne; 33 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and 21 great-great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his first wife, Betty Jean (Hill) Boyd; children, Nancy Watkins, Larry Boyd, Cindy Morton of Oklahoma, and Michael Abshire of Cleburne.
