Johnny Holt
A memorial service for Johnny C. Holt, 69, of Rio Vista, will be conducted at 7:00 P.M. Tuesday, August 30, 2011 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel.
Mr. Holt passed away Tuesday, August 23, 2011 in Cleburne. He was born June 18, 1942 in Bridgeport to William Alsie and Marie Kaker Holt. He married Candis Faye McIntosh on May 26, 2010 in Cleburne.
Mr. Holt was a truckdriver with 10 years service at Bailey Materials. He was an unpredictable man with a huge heart of gold. He loved woodworking and could build anything. He also loved gardening and playing his guitar. Johnny was of the Christian faith.
Survivors include his wife, Candis Rodgers Holt; son, David Holt; daughter, Marla Mayfield; four sisters, Hattie Linville, Dorothy Parsons, Nellie Clark and Irene Murphy; several nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends including Rick Bailey and Allan Brown. He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Roberta "Birdie" Holt; son, Ricky Holt; sister, Margaret Dickenson and brother, Robert Holt.
