Services for Johnny C. Morris, 72, of Cleburne, will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Friday, October 5, 2007 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Reverend Bob Beeman will officiate. Burial will be in Rosehill Cemetery.
Johnny C. Morris passed away Wednesday, October 3, 2007 in Cleburne. He was born July 6, 1935 in Kaufman County, TX to Dewitt Talmade and Lena Lillian Mitchell Morris. He married Nelda Jean Wickliffe on February 16, 1956 in Ellis County, TX.
Mr. Morris was a retired salesman for plumbing and heating supplies in the Dallas area for many years. He formerly lived in Lancaster, TX for 42 years, before moving to Cleburne in 2002. He was a supporter of Community Opportunities Inc.
Johnny C. Morris is survived by his wife, Nelda Morris; sons, John Stacy Morris and Stephen Boyd Morris; brothers, Wayne Morris, Floyd "Mike" Morris, Ray Morris and Gerald Morris; sisters, Willie Carruthers and Edith Robison and a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Aubrey, Raymond, W.W. "Cotton", George and Jack.
