Services for Johnny Siratt, 65, of Grandview, will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Monday, December 30, 2024, in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel with Peggy Everett officiating. Burial will follow in Grandview Cemetery. There will be a time of visitation for family and friends from 6-8:00 PM, Saturday, December 28, 2024, at the funeral home. Serving as pallbearers are James Veloz, Randall Dwiggins, Johnny Siratt, Jr., Timothy Rutledge, Phillip Kilcrease, Brent Hodges, John Kilcrease, and Chayton Taylor.
Johnny passed away on Tuesday, December 24, 2024. He was born on January 17, 1959, in Cleburne, Texas. Johnny was a dedicated family man who cherished his role as a husband, father, and grandfather. Johnny married Rebecca Harper on November 20, 1981, in Grandview, and they enjoyed 43 years together. He was of the Baptist faith. In his professional career, Johnny worked as a butcher and was known for his craftsmanship and dedication to his work. Outside of his profession, Johnny had a passion for fishing and enjoyed working on cars, activities that brought him joy and relaxation. Johnny will be remembered for his loving spirit and the joy he brought to those around him.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Rebecca E. Siratt; his children, Julie Siratt, Beverly Stephens and husband Phillip Kilcrease, and Johnny Siratt, Jr.; and his grandchildren: Merrick Siratt, Hayden Siratt, Tyler Siratt, Randall Dwiggins, Angel Veloz, James Veloz, Lauren Siratt, Faith Siratt, Marianne Williamson, and Adam Williamson. He is also survived by his great-grandchild, Jack Dwiggins, along with another great grandchild on the way, his sister Jennie Hodges, and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Johnny is also survived by his father-in-law, Bradley Harper, and mother-in-law, Elzane Harper who loves him and called him son.
Johnny was preceded in death by his parents, Bud and Maurine Siratt; his siblings, Don Siratt and Evon Irwin; and his daughter, Joanie Siratt.
