Jolene Webb went home to see her Heavenly Father Thursday, February 17, 2011. Our gracious warrior fought valiantly until the moment she saw her Savior's face. In the last couple of years, her struggle to face and conquer the beast, leukemia, inspired many others to do the same.
She was always ready to lend an ear to a fellow fighter and encourage them to continue their journey. Jolene consistently had the eyes to see those who had been pushed down and forgotten by the world. Her heart longed to love and befriend them. She displayed her extravagant love and giving spirit daily, most of the time unaware to others.
She was intrigued by many different pursuits and enjoyed a variety of vocations and hobbies. She was a private investigator, an entrepreneur, a florist and a customer service agent. She loved beading, although her family believes she liked purchasing beads more than actually using them. Her deepest love was spending time with her family.
Her parenting was unconventional yet brilliant, oftentimes mimicking her children's behavior to reflect their silliness. The courage she inspired in others to dream was irresistible.
Jolene Webb, 62, of Crowley, Texas was born September 15, 1948 to the late Raymond William and Mary Jean Keys Marshall.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 43 years, Eldon Tom Webb, and her parents.
She is survived by son, Jearrel Webb and wife, Alaina of Joshua, Texas and their children Heather Apodaca and husband, Cody, Matthew, Catie, and Sarah, and a great-grandson Noah; daughter Mary Bush and husband, Tracy of Damascus, Arkansas and their sons BJ and Carson; and daughter Marty Mc Gukin and husband, Matt of Hueytown, Alabama and their son Micah.
She is also survived by a sister Bobbie Cooper of Guymon, Oklahoma; a brother Allen Marshall and wife, Sue of Mansfield, Texas; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
In her own estimation, she achieved nothing grand or noteworthy. However, her loving kindness and gifts of encouragement and selfless giving will live forever within the hearts of all those lives she so beautifully touched. This made her life simply amazing, and her legacy deeply profound.
