Jose Alvarado

A Funeral Mass for Jose I. Alvarado, 96, of Cleburne, will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, December 11, 2018 in the St. Joseph Catholic Church, Cleburne. Father Sergio Rizo will officiate. A Rosary will be held on Monday from 7 -8 P.M. with a visitation from 8-9 P.M. to follow at the funeral home. Burial will be in Rosehill Cemetery.

Jose I. Alvarado passed away on Thursday, December 06, 2018 in Cleburne. He was born on May 02, 1922 in Mexico to Isabel and Hilaria (Alvarado) Gonzalez. He was married to Aniceta Garcia and she preceded him in death on February 11, 2002.

Jose was a very special person who lit up everyone’s life. He was a strong man and his grandchildren were the light of his life. He will be deeply missed by his family and all who were blessed to have known him.

Jose Alvarado is survived by his children, Anita Trevino, Eladio Alvarado and wife Delia, Guadalupe Gandara and husband Raul, Arnulfo Alvarado and wife Gracie, Bertha Garcia and husband Julio and Raul Alvarado and wife Susie; 23 grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren; many great-great-grandchildren; brothers Martin Ramirez, Vidal Ramirez and Salvador Ramirez and a host of other loving relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Aniceta; son Luis and daughter Gloria.
