Joseph H. Green

Died February 13, 2011 at age 90. Born December 21, 1920 to W. L. "Will" and Augusta L. Green in Cleburne, Texas and the youngest of five brothers. Joe served his country as a Staff Sergeant in the U.S Army Air Corps., Sixth Air Force, 20th Troop Carrier Squadron stationed in Panama. He is predeceased by his gracious wife of 63 years, Elizabeth Ann Kilby "Betsy" Green. Joe was an accomplished commercial artist with a special interest in historic nautical scenes. His paintings were in various maritime galleries but he was particularly proud of his works that were stolen while on display. Joe never met a stranger and those that knew him will miss his well timed wit and gentleman's demeanor. Joe's legacy will be to help children who are unable to help themselves and make a difference in their lives. A graveside service will be held at the Cleburne Memorial Cemetery in Cleburne, Texas on Saturday, February 19, at 1:00 PM. Memorial donations may be made to the White Rose Women's Center 4313 North Central Exp. Dallas, Tx 75225.
