Service for Joseph Fredrick “Freddie” O’Neal, 71, of Godley will be conducted at 10:00 A.M., Monday, Dec. 7, 2015 at Calvary Baptist Church in Cleburne. The Reverend Charles E. Payne will officiate, assisted by the Reverend Brooks Monk and the Reverend Earl Sides. Burial will be in Godley Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Randy O’Neal, Jeremy O’Neal, Jeremy Soul’e, Richard Mourning, Brian Mourning, and Mike McCann. Visitation will be from 5-7:00 P.M., Sunday, at the funeral home.
Joseph Fredrick “Freddie” O’Neal passed away Thursday, Dec. 3, 2015 in Granbury. He was born March 19, 1944 in Cleburne to Freddie Lee and Elizabeth Eberhart O’Neal. Freddie married Jo Pearl Stansberry on Aug. 30, 1963 in Cresson.
Mr. O’Neal worked as a production engineer at Miller Brewing Co., retiring with more than 30 years of service. He was an active member of Calvary Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Jo O’Neal of Godley; father, Fred O’Neal of Godley; three children, Janice Dodson and husband Mark of Alvarado, Jammie O’Neal and wife Debra of Whitney, Jane Edgmon and husband Craig of Godley; three brothers, Tommy O’Neal and wife Ethel of Madisonville, Glenn O’Neal and wife June of Rio Vista, and Leonard O’Neal and wife Sue of Godley; three grandchildren, Devin Dodson and Emily, Kyle Edgmon and wife Melinda, and Clayton Edgmon; four great grandchildren, Lori Dodson, Riley Dodson, Colby Dodson, Korbin Edgmon; one step grandaughter, Ashley Faulk; and two step great grandchildren, Camey Fuller and Anthony Garcia, Jr. He was preceded in death by his mother, Elizabeth O’Neal in 1990; infant brother and sister, William and Katie O’Neal; and grandson, Dustin Dodson in 2012.
