Mr. Joe Ragsdale passed away Friday, June 11, 2010 in Cleburne. He was born January 22, 1963 in Albuquerque, New Mexico to James Louis and Nancy Ragsdale.
Joe was a kind, loving, compassionate man who loved people and helping anyone who was in need. He was happiest when with his family and enjoyed spending his free time outdoors, especially on the lake. He was always a hard worker and had a passion for driving his heavy haul rig trucks. Joe was a dispatcher and driver for Hodges Trucking Company and he was of the Methodist faith.
He is survived by his wife, Susan Ragsdale of Cleburne; son, Matthew Ragsdale of Groves; daughter, Laura Aungst and husband, Bryan of Euless; mother, Nancy Ragsdale of Marion, Ark.; one grandson, Landon Herd and another expected in November; sister, Lynne Thornton and husband Mickey of Marion, Arkansas; brother, Jim Ragsdale and wife Charisse of Delta Junction, Alaska, all who love and greatly miss him.
Joe was preceded in death by his father, James Ragsdale in 1990.
Joe loved dogs and personally helped rescue a stray greyhound named Betty Boop several years ago. In the past year, he and Susan adopted two wonderful greys named Maddie and Cole, who quickly became full-fledged members of the family.
