Joyce Kirby

A private graveside service for Helen Joyce Freeman Kirby, 90, of Cleburne, will be conducted at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, August 19, 2023, in Rest Haven Cemetery, Brady, Texas with Mr. Jim Kirby officiating.

Helen Joyce Freeman was born January 20, 1933, in Brady, Texas to Wayman and Novella Harris Freeman. She graduated from Brady High School in 1950. Joyce married Jack H. Kirby on January 27, 1951. She passed from this life on August 15, 2023, after a long illness. Mrs. Kirby was a homemaker; and was a wonderful cook, seamstress, flower arranger, and wedding planner. She was also an amateur writer and inventor.

Survivors include a sister, Fae Fritzsche of Sacramento, California; son, Jim Kirby and wife, Anita of Stephenville; daughter, Robin Price and husband, Kelly of Alvarado; seven grandchildren, Josh Kirby and wife, Katie of Fort Worth, Chad Kirby of College Station, Amanda Mock and husband, Justin of Katy, Ryan Price of Nashville, TN, Kory Price of Alvarado, Kinley Price of Alvarado, and Caleb Kirby of Cleburne; great-granddaughters, Adalynn Kirby of Fort Worth and Abigail Mock of Katy.

Joyce was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jack; her sister, Jean; and her son, Ricky.
