Joyce Shipman

Services for Joyce Maudlin Shipman, 54, of Cleburne will be conducted Sunday, July 26, 2009 in Emmanuel Seventh-day Adventist Church. Pastor Malcolm Phipps will officiate. Interment will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, July 27, in Greenlawn Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Kevin Cambridge, Johnny Shipman Jr., Anthon Dawes, Daniel Dawes, Patrick Dawes and Maurice Theriot. Honorary pallbearers are Edward Dawes, Leslie Dawes, Byron Dawes, Bertram Dawes, Johnny Shipman Sr. and Ian Wint.
Joyce M. Shipman passed away Saturday, July 18, 2009 in Ft. Worth. She was born March 10, 1955 in Westmoreland, Jamaica to Harold and Maudlyn Dawes.
Mrs. Shipman was a certified nursing assistant and of the Seventh-day Adventist faith.
Joyce Shipman is survived by her husband, Johnny Shipman Sr. of Cleburne; children, Kevin Cambridge of Euless, J.J. Shipman and wife Joanie, and Nikeysha Shipman and Jarod Matheson, all of Cleburne; five brothers, Byron, Victor, Leslie, Eddie and Bertram Dawes, all of Jamaica; mother-in-law, Ora Lee Shipman of Cleburne; sister-in-law, Sandra Lee Lauderdale of Cleburne and nine grandchildren.
