Joyce Underwood

Graveside service for Joyce Lavern Towles Underwood, 90, of Cleburne will be conducted at 3:30 P.M., Sunday, December 15, 2019, in Rosehill Cemetery.

Joyce passed away Friday, December 13, 2019 in Glen Rose. She was born September 5, 1929 in Smith County, Texas to Raymond Leonard and Lonnie Loraine (Scritchfield) Towles. Joyce married Clarence A. Underwood on July 12, 1947 in Weatherford. Joyce was a secretary at Robinson Janitorial before retiring. She was a member of Henderson Street Baptist Church.

Joyce is survived by her daughter, Sandra Reagan of Cleburne; son, Steve Underwood of Cleburne; 3 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.

Joyce is preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Underwood on March 19, 1981; sisters, Jackie Hallor, Nelda Holmer, Sharon Sue Towles and brother, D.R. Towles.
