J.T. Chapman

Services for J.T. Chapman, Jr., 89, of Cleburne, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 5, 2009 in Greenacres Mausoleum Chapel. Rev. Robert Whitehead will officiate. Burial will be in Greenacres Memorial Park. Honorary pallbearers will be Llavan Chapman, Johnnie Ray Chapman, Carl Peppers, Bob Rocket, Steve Tice and Ronny Bodiford.

J.T. Chapman, Jr. passed away Sunday, August 2, 2009 in Grandview. He was born September 30, 1919 in Avalon to J.T. and Henretta Bowman Chapman. He married Mary Nell Cook on October 24, 1941 in Alvarado.

Mr. Chapman served in WWII with the Army Corp. Of Engineers. He retired from the Santa Fe Railroad as an electrician. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Cleburne.

Mr. J.T Chapman, Jr. is survived by one son, J.T. Chapman, III, and wife, Martha, of Houston; one granddaughter, Leanne Parker of Austin; sister, Lucille Young of Grandview and a number of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Mary Nell Chapman on November 10, 2008 and six siblings.

Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or American Cancer Society.
