Service for J. T. Sullivan, 84, of Cleburne will be conducted at 11:00 A.M., Thursday, October 30, 2014 in the Calvary Baptist Church. The Reverend Charles E. Payne will officiate, assisted by the Reverend Brooks Monk. Burial will be in Covington Cemetery. Pallbearers will be John Hamilton, Scotty Steed, Joey Howington, Jerry Eberhart Jr., Randy Sullivan, and Burl Fowler. Visitation will be from 6-8:00 P.M., Wednesday, at the funeral home.

J.T. Sullivan passed away Monday, October 27, 2014 in Cleburne. He was born July 31, 1930 in Godley to Tommy and Annie Cain Sullivan. He married Patsy Ray Marbut on December 16, 1950 in Cleburne and she preceded him in death on October 15, 2009.

Mr. Sullivan worked as a market manager and meat cutter, retiring from Safeway with 34 years of service. He was a friendly, outgoing man with a great sense of humor. He enjoyed fishing and camping and playing all kinds of games, especially cards and dominoes. Mr. Sullivan was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. He will be missed greatly by all who knew and loved him.

Survivors include his daughter, Janice Eberhart and husband Jerry; grandchildren, Scotty Steed, Debra Hendricks and husband Lance, John Hamilton and wife Shelley, and Amanda Howington and husband Joey; ten great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends. He was also preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Diane S. Packwood; and siblings, Jimmy, Sammy, Leonard, and Frances.
