Juan Martinez

Service for Juan Ortiz Martinez, 90, of Cleburne will be conducted at 10:00 A.M., Monday, Sept. 9, 2013 in the St. Joseph Catholic Church. Father Sergio Rizo will officiate. Burial will be in Greenacres Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 6-8:00 P.M., Sunday, at the funeral home.

Mr. Martinez passed away Friday, Sept. 6, 2013 in Cleburne. He was born Oct. 20, 1922 in Ojuelos Jalisco, Mexico to Felipe Ortiz and Maria Martinez. He married Anita L. Luevano on Feb. 8, 1943 in Sabinas Coahuila, Mexico.

Mr. Martinez worked as a laborer and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.

Survivors include his daughters, Gloria Ozuna, Leticia Ortiz, and Blanca Robles, all of Cleburne; sons, Jose Gpe Ortiz of Del Rio, Juan Rodofo Ortiz of Joshua, Jesus E. Ortiz of Cleburne and Fernando J. Ortiz of Cleburne; daughters-in-law, Rosa Ortiz, Maria Ortiz and Carmelita Ortiz; son-in-law, Alberto Robles; 22 grandchildren; 53 great grandchildren; seven great-great grandchildren; and several other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Felipe Ortiz, mother, Maria Martinez; daughter, Juanita Ortiz, son-in-law, Jose Manuel Ozuna and a brother, Victor Ortiz.
