Graveside service for Juanita Ollie Myers Key, 100, of Huntsville, AL, formerly of Cleburne will be conducted at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, April 6, 2016 in Rosehill Cemetery. The Reverend Donna Ware will officiate.
Juanita Ollie Myers Key passed away April 1, 2016 at Windsor House in Huntsville, Alabama. She had lived in Huntsville for the past 15 years.
She was born on November 24, 1915 in Tecumseh, Oklahoma. She graduated from Cleburne High School in 1935 and was a graduate of Texas Women’s College in Ft. Worth.
She retired from St. Paul’s Hospital, in Dallas, where she worked as a dietician for many years. For 20 years, she volunteered at the Cleburne Memorial and Walls Hospitals.
In Cleburne, she was a long time member of Saint Mark United Methodist Church, where she was very active in the Tape Ministry, Historical Committee, and in initiating the Anniversary Cookbook. In Alabama, she was a member of Chestnut Grove United Methodist Church, in Gurley, where she taught an adult Sunday School class.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ben and Pearle Myers; and brothers, Ralph and Leslie Myers; sisters, Ada Myers and Nell Myers Boulware.
Survivors include her son Charles L. Key; and grandchildren Stephanie Key of Huntsville, Alabama and Matthew Key of Albertville, Alabama.
