Juanita Mason
Services for Juanita F. Mitchell Mason, 89, of Tomball, Texas, formerly of Cleburne, Texas, will be conducted at 1:00 P.M., Friday, April 17, 2015 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Mr. Joe Banghart, Chaplain of Tomball Retirement Center, will officiate. Burial will be in the Cleburne Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M., Thursday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Mason passed away Monday, April 13, 2015 in Tomball. She was born May 1, 1925 in Maysville, Oklahoma to Thomas H. Mitchell and Margaret Shelton M. C. Herrin. Juanita married Joe Allen Mason on July 6, 1942 in Cleburne.
She was a wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend to all, as well as working at Safeway in Cleburne for 22 years. She was a member of the Granbury Street Church of Christ and active member of the Tomball Retirement Community. Juanita was the reigning Ms. Tomball Retirement 2014 – 2015 where she proudly and happily represented her friends at social functions. She was also a proud member of the Citizen Potawatomie Nation.
Mrs. Mason is survived by her granddaughters, Leigh Ann Darilek and husband William of Magnolia; Sandra McDaniel and husband Karmen of Cypress; son-in-law, Sandy Tomlinson and wife, Wanda; great-grandchildren, Cody Wayne Darilek and wife Marissa; Courtney Ann Darilek, Corbin Michael Darilek, Katelyn Marie McDaniel, and Brooke Avery McDaniel; sister, Carla Sue Allison; brother-in-law Bruce Mason and wife, Jacqueline; and a number of nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her loving spouse, parents, sons, Kenneth Lee Mason, Howard Wayne Mason, daughter, Charlotte Ann Tomlinson, and granddaughter, Cynthia Denise Tomlinson.
