Services for Juanita McClure, 89, lifelong resident of Cleburne, will be conducted at 3:00 P.M. Tuesday, October 23, 2012 in the Bethel Temple Assembly of God Church. Burial will follow in the Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 P.M. Monday at the funeral home.
Mrs. McClure passed away at her home in Cleburne on Saturday, October 20, 2012. She was born to Bishop Cavie Naugh and Erin Roberta Ward Davenport on February 27, 1923 in Joshua, Texas. She married Marvin Wilson McClure on September 9, 1945. Juanita retired from Walls Industries after 33 years. She was a member of Bethel Temple Assembly of God Church, where she was active in various roles including hosting a weekly Bible study in her home. Juanita was known as a character, always with a joke or story to tell. She was a loyal friend to many. She enjoyed reading mystery novels and working crossword puzzles. Her love for life and laughter will be missed greatly by all who knew and loved her. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; 4 brothers; 1 sister; and 3 grandchildren.
Survivors include her four daughters, Pat Wright and her husband, Buddy, Betty Hargrove and her husband, Don, Ruby Lytle, and Ella Carter; one son, Larry McClure and his wife, Linda; adopted daughter, Breanda Price; 13 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; 10 great great grandchildren; brother, Kenneth Davenport; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
