Service for Juanita Fay Cook White, 84, of Cleburne will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 27, 2012, in First United Methodist Church in Cleburne. Pastor Robert Herzig will officiate. Burial will be at 3 p.m. Monday in the Ross Cemetery in Baird. Visitation will be from 3-5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Mrs. White passed away Thursday, Feb. 23, 2012, in Keene. She was born April 9, 1927, in Vernon to Omer Addison and Ima Fay Chumney Cook. She married Robert Olen White on Nov. 10, 1946, in Selden, Texas.
Mrs. White was a retired teacher and principal with the Cleburne ISD. She taught at Santa Fe Elementary School and Cook Elementary School and finished her career as principal at J.N. Long Elementary School. She was a member of Teacher's Retirement, Delta Kappa Gamma and the Wesley Sunday school class at First Methodist Church in Cleburne.
Survivors include her daughter, Barbara White of Cleburne; sons, Robert W. White and wife, Cheryl, of Alvarado and Billy Don White of Tumbling Shoals, Alaska; grandchildren, Amanda McAlister and husband, David, of Cypress, Ryan White of Alvarado, Karrie Clark and husband, Cashan, of Cleburne and Brady White and wife, Sarah, of Dallas; seven great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert Olen White on Sept. 29, 2003; and one brother, George T. Cook Sr.
